What is a metal backlit sign?
Metal backlit signs also called halo-lit signs are solid metal letters or panels with low-voltage LEDs concealed behind them, mounted off the wall on hidden standoffs. Instead of shining light at you, the LEDs wash the wall behind the metal, so the sign appears to float in a soft ring of light. Because the light source is completely hidden, backlit metal custom signs read as premium day and night, photograph beautifully, and never produce the glare a face-lit box can.

Most backlit metal signs run $1,800–$4,200 depending on size, metal and halo type. Small backlit logos start around $950, and full fit-outs with mixed metals from $4,800. You’ll get an itemised fixed quote with your free mockup.
Most backlit signs take 7–14 business days from artwork approval, including wiring and LED testing before dispatch. We’ll confirm a firm date with your quote.
Our metal signs are made in such a way that it is very easy to install them by yourself.
Our custom signs run on low-voltage LED drivers that plug into a standard outlet — no electrician needed if a power point is nearby. Hard-wiring into the wall for a fully hidden feed is a quick job for any sparkie.
Mid tone matte walls give the most even halo. Very glossy or pure-white walls can reflect hot spots your mockup will show the glow on your exact wall so there are no surprises.
Backlit (halo) reads as premium and glare-free perfect for receptions and close viewing. Face-lit is brighter for long distances. Non-illuminated is the budget pick for well-lit, daytime-only spaces. Your mockup can show more than one.
